Fort Worth Rangers

Faith First. Team Always. Rangers Don't Quit.

Our football program features two 11-man tackle teams, offering both a high school and middle school team. As a Christ-centered organization, we use the game of football to build Christian, Godly men who display strong values and character. We prioritize development by focusing on skills, teamwork, and personal growth both on and off the field. Our dedicated coaches provide guidance and support to help athletes reach their full potential while fostering a community rooted in faith and camaraderie. Join us!

  • R - Relentless

  • Relentless means pursuing goals with unyielding determination, refusing to give up despite fatigue, setbacks, or opposition. In a Christian football program, this applies to both physical endurance on the field—pushing through tough practices, comebacks in games, and maintaining focus during long seasons—and spiritual persistence in faith. Players are encouraged to be relentless in prayer, Bible study, and living out their beliefs, even when facing personal doubts or team losses. This fosters a culture where quitting isn't an option, mirroring God's unwavering faithfulness.

  • Scripture: Galatians 6:9 - "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." This verse reminds the team that relentless effort in training and games, done for God's glory, will yield eternal rewards, much like enduring a grueling fourth-quarter drive.

  • A - Accountability

  • Accountability involves holding oneself and others responsible for actions, decisions, and commitments, promoting honesty and growth. In the program, this means players are accountable to coaches for performance, to teammates for effort in drills and plays, and ultimately to God for their conduct on and off the field. It includes peer mentorship, where veterans guide rookies, and group Bible studies where members confess struggles and encourage one another. This builds trust and prevents isolation, ensuring the team functions as a unified body.

  • Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 - "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up." This highlights how accountability in a football huddle or locker room prayer circle strengthens the team, just as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), preventing moral or athletic slips.

  • N - Next Level

  • Next Level refers to striving for continuous improvement and elevation in skills, mindset, and character. For a Christian football program, this isn't about worldly success but advancing toward Christ-likeness while honing athletic abilities—moving from basic fundamentals to advanced strategies, or from self-centered play to team-oriented execution. Coaches might use film sessions to identify growth areas, tying them to spiritual disciplines like fasting or service projects to "level up" in faith.

  • Scripture: Philippians 3:13-14 - "Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." This encourages players to push beyond current limits, like breaking personal records in weight training, as a metaphor for pursuing heavenly goals over earthly accolades.

  • G - Grit

  • Grit is the mental and emotional toughness to persevere through pain, adversity, and challenges. In the context of Christian football, it equips players to handle injuries, losses, or criticism with resilience, viewing hardships as opportunities for refinement. This value is lived out in grueling conditioning drills, where players learn to "dig deep," and extended through chapel services that teach enduring faith amid life's "hits."

  • Scripture: James 1:2-4 - "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." Grit on the gridiron, like powering through a goal-line stand, mirrors this, building mature believers who glorify God in suffering.

  • E - Excellence

  • Excellence demands giving one's best in every endeavor, aiming for high standards without compromise. In a Christian program, this means executing plays with precision, maintaining top physical condition, and conducting oneself with integrity—win or lose. It's not perfectionism but a heartfelt offering to God, extending to academics, family life, and community involvement, where the team strives to be a shining example.

  • Scripture: Colossians 3:23-24 - "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." This inspires players to pursue excellence in footwork drills or game prep as an act of worship, knowing their ultimate Coach is God.

  • R - Respect

  • Respect entails honoring others—teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and even rivals—with dignity and humility. For the program, this translates to sportsmanship: no trash-talking, helping up fallen players, and showing grace in victory or defeat. It also includes respecting authority, like following coaching decisions, and valuing diverse backgrounds within the team, fostering unity in Christ.

  • Scripture: 1 Peter 2:17 - "Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor." In football terms, this means respecting the referee's call or an opponent's effort, reflecting Christ's command to love neighbors as oneself (Matthew 22:39), and building a program that leads by example in a competitive world.

  • S - Service

  • Service is about selflessly giving to others, putting team and community needs above personal gain. In a Christian football setting, this involves players serving as role models—volunteering at youth camps, visiting hospitals, or mentoring younger athletes—while on the field, it means sacrificing for the team, like blocking for a teammate's run. The program emphasizes that true leadership is servanthood, aligning with the "Lead the Way" motto.

  • Scripture: Mark 10:45 - "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." This models how players can serve, perhaps by organizing team outreach events, emulating Jesus' humility and turning football into a ministry tool.
